Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, perform engine, transmission, electrical work, and maintain safety & quality standards.

You will initiate Service Work Orders, complete MPI, participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process, and pursue ASE certifications while upholding VIP culture. The role follows a 5-day, 40-hour work week, non-exempt hourly schedule.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to perform the automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workplace safety and follow all safety policies.
• Provide diagnostics, repair, and maintenance for automotive systems covered by ASE certifications.
• Initiate a valid Service Work Order before service and keep it displayed with the vehicle.
• Complete MPI and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Return unused parts to Desk Team and manage parts properly.
• Road test vehicles as needed and keep the work area clean and organized.
