Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Engineer II for our NA Pre-Sales Team in Mexico. You will be the trusted technical advisor, collaborating with sales to demonstrate Akamai's web performance, security, and cloud solutions to customers.

Responsibilities include managing pre-sales processes, creating technical proposals, and leading demos, CARs, and POCs to drive opportunity and growth while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing or consulting role in technical pre-sales/sales engineering/post-sales.
• High School/Bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• Strong understanding of the internet: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), APIs, etc.
• Experience or interest in DevOps, Media, or Internet Security.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to explain complex technical content to varied audiences.
• Team player who can collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.
• Manage the technical proposal process and ensure all information and recommendations address customer requirements.
• Track account activity for business analysis and reporting; design technical solutions to meet customer needs.
• Lead sales activities such as Technical Demos, CARs, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
• Maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and growth based on customer needs and business requirements.
