Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer (IC5) to lead technical sales engagements with State, Local and Higher Education customers. You will design solutions, run demos, and position Cloudera technologies to meet public sector missions.

You'll collaborate across teams, articulate value, and help customers achieve fast, measurable outcomes while navigating regulatory requirements and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing role, ideally in a pre-sales context.
• Ability to create and give technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales activities.
• Support the technical needs of customers including discovering new use cases for Cloudera's technology.
• Design solutions based on reference architectures and common patterns.
• Demonstrate Cloudera products to inspire customer buy-in and drive value realization.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to show customers the value and outcomes of a Cloudera solution.
