Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a seasoned Pre-Sales System Engineer to support Networking Account Managers and partners across the sales cycle. You will modernize and secure customers’ networks using HPE solutions, from campus to cloud, in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead discovery, design end-to-end solutions, and deliver compelling demonstrations while collaborating with sales and engineering teams. A strong networking background and 5+ years in pre-sales are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or a customer-facing technical role.
• Strong foundation in networking technologies (campus, wireless, routing, WAN).
• Exposure to modern architectures such as SD-WAN, SASE, or Zero Trust.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant value for stakeholders.
• Lead discovery conversations that uncover technical requirements and strategic priorities.
• Hands-on experience with solution design and architecture.
• Collaborate with account managers, architects, and specialists to deliver well-rounded solutions.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume inside sales environment.
• Stay current with industry trends and continuously expand technical and business acumen.
• Strong presentation, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account managers to develop account strategy and drive technical wins.
• Lead discovery sessions to uncover business drivers and requirements.
• Conduct technical assessments to identify gaps and define solution approaches.
• Design and architect end-to-end HPE Networking solutions across domains.
• Recommend solutions aligned to business outcomes and modernization goals.
• Deliver customized technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Support proposals, RFP/RFI responses, BOMs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and specialists on multi-domain opportunities.
• Maintain deep expertise across HPE Networking portfolios and stay current on trends.
