Qualifications

• Solid understanding of GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG processes and how they affect automation feasibility.
• Proficiency in CAD layouts and 2D/3D design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales technical feasibility by reviewing parts and drawings to assess weld feasibility.
• Architect welding automation concepts including processes, power sources, tooling, and robot layouts.
• Develop technical proposals with layouts, cycle-time estimates, labor hours, and BOMs.
• Coordinate weld sample evaluations, process trials and testing to validate solutions.
• Travel to customer facilities (~15% domestic/international) to gather requirements and present solutions.
• Ensure weld processes align with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX and customer specs.
