Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Solutions Engineer to lead pre-sales engagements for dbt Cloud and demonstrate value through tailored technical demos. You will partner with Account Executives, understand customer data challenges, and articulate how dbt Cloud meets their needs with live demonstrations and workshops.

You will engage with prospects across roles, contribute to process improvements, and help educate customers through external content and educational resources.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a data practitioner or consultant in data operations or analytics.
• Strong technical foundation with modern data warehousing architectures and the modern data stack.
• Proficiency in SQL; dbt experience preferred; dbt certification a plus.
• Experience working asynchronously as part of a partially remote, distributed team.
• Comfort presenting to diverse stakeholders or external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of time on pre-sales opportunities to understand customer use cases.
• Consult with potential customers to uncover data challenges and how dbt Cloud can help.
• Own demonstrations of technical and business impact with tailored demos.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and build trust-based relationships.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with technical stakeholders in accounts.
• Work with internal teams to improve processes and contribute to product discussions.
• Create and deliver external-facing content through live events, blogs, or tutorials.
