Job summary

Fivetran, a leading data integration company, seeks an experienced Solutions Engineer to guide prospects through dbt Cloud value and perform live demos. You will lead discussions, uncover data challenges, and showcase how our platform meets customer needs through technical workshops.

You will collaborate with AE teams, contribute to playbooks, and create external content while traveling for events as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a data practitioner or consultant in data operations or analytics.
• Strong foundation in modern data warehousing architectures and the modern data stack, with SQL proficiency.
• Experience with dbt preferred; dbt certification bonus.
• Experience working asynchronously in a partially remote, distributed team.
• Comfort presenting to diverse stakeholders in externally facing role.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and think on your feet during customer conversations.
• Team player with Account Executives and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel for events and customer meetings.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time on pre-sales opportunities to understand customer use cases.
• Consult with potential customers to uncover data challenges and highlight dbt Cloud benefits.
• Own the demonstration of technical and business impact with tailored demos and guidance.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and build trust-based relationships.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with technical stakeholders within accounts.
• Partner with internal teams to improve processes and represent customer voice in product discussions.
• Contribute to knowledge-sharing and asset refinement within the team.
• Create and deliver external-facing content through live events and tutorials.
