Job summary

Unifeye Vision Partners in Upland, CA is seeking a Pre-Operative Surgical Coordinator to coordinate with patients and the ambulatory surgery center, ensuring pre-operative labs, medical clearances, and pre-operative instructions for patients are provided before surgery date.

They will handle pre-operative calls, assist with co-management duties, and support scheduling, insurance, and payments while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; LVN license preferred.
• Experience in medical/healthcare office, ophthalmology or optometry preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records pre-surgery to ensure labs and medical clearance.
• Answer and originate a large number of patient calls about procedures and payments.
• Assist with disability paperwork and pre-operative instructions.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments using medical office software.
• Update records including patient demographics and insurance coverage.
• Understand patient out-of-pocket fees, eligibility, and authorizations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
• This is an in-office position; remote work is not available.
