Job summary

EyeCare Partners, a leading ophthalmology network, seeks a Surgical Coordinator in ophthalmology to manage surgical scheduling and patient education. You will coordinate pre-op visits, verify insurance, and discuss costs with patients while supporting the Surgical Services Manager.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and flexibility to handle multiple locations and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in financial counseling preferred.
• Experience with insurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery and pre-surgery education for patients.
• Coordinate pre-op appointments with patients and caregivers.
• Review charts for insurance benefits and counsel patients on finances.
• Counsel patients on Physician Fee and Eye Surgery Center.
• Follow up on and collect surgery payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
