Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU role in Colorado Springs. The RN will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, interpret monitoring data, and develop individualized perianesthesia care plans.

You will administer medications safely, manage pain and recovery, and coordinate hand-offs with the care team. Requirements include nursing degree, active state licensure, and 1 year of PreOp or PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing; BLS/BCLS and ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Describe pathophysiology and anesthesia-related physiology.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and timely hand-off reports.
• Ensure patient safety, infection prevention, and privacy throughout perioperative care.
• Collaborate with care team and educate patient and family about care expectations.
