Job summary

SCA Health is actively hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU role in Colorado. The RN will assess perioperative patients, manage anesthesia recovery, and collaborate with physicians and teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The position emphasizes adherence to facility policies, patient advocacy, and continuous improvement in perianesthesia care. Qualifications include an accredited nursing program, 1 year PACU/preop experience, and current state RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and assess patient conditions.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia across settings.
• Provide pain and comfort management and administer medications safely.
• Document nursing care completely and collaborate with the care team.
• Transfer care and provide accurate hand-off reports.
