Job summary

Advocate Health Care's Aurora Medical Group site is hiring a Pre-Certification Specialist to support providers and patients in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will coordinate with the pre-cert vendor, manage scheduling, and document patient information in EPIC and IDX systems while maintaining compassionate patient interactions.

The role is onsite, Monday–Friday 8:00–17:00, with no weekend or major holiday shifts, and requires a high school diploma plus 1–2 years of customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related customer service experience.
• Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Contact the pre-certification vendor and provide facility and patient demographic information.
• Monitor future orders and ensure completion of pre-certification by the due date.
• Orient new associates to pre-certification functions in EPIC and other vendor applications.
• Execute patient scheduling duties and document in EPIC/IDX per provider guidelines.
