Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for the Female Pelvic Medicine department in Aurora, Colorado. This onsite role schedules surgical appointments, coordinates with physicians and staff, and communicates pre-procedure instructions.

In addition to scheduling, responsibilities include insurance verification and ensuring facility readiness for procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, works full-time with a consistent day shift, and offers a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with scheduling in a medical setting is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Coordinates with physicians and healthcare team to ensure facility, surgeon, staff and equipment availability.
• Communicates pre-procedure instructions and confirms appointments with patients/families.
• Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
