Job summary

Mercy Clinic Aurora is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet, direct and schedule patients and visitors, while performing essential clerical tasks for physicians and clinic staff. The role involves entering patient information, answering calls, setting appointments, and supporting insurance-related questions and referrals.

A high school diploma is required, with one year of medical office experience preferred, plus Clinic Core Front Desk Training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
One year of applicable medical office experience preferred.
New hire must attend Clinic Core Front Desk Training through Clinical Education.

Responsibilities

Greet, instruct, direct and schedule patients and visitors.
Perform clerical duties for physicians and clinic staff.
Enter new and established patient information into the computer.
Answer incoming calls and set appointments for patients.
Monitor and revise physician schedules as appropriate.
Establish payment plans and collect payments.
Answer questions on insurance claims, disability benefits, home health care, and referrals.
