Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Practice Leader for Electrical Transmission & Distribution to drive growth, build client relationships, and lead multidisciplinary teams. The role supports expanding into a high-demand market with core engineering and testing services across geotechnical, environmental, civil, and special inspections.

The candidate will develop strategic growth plans, win opportunities for multiple clients, and mentor teams while aligning with S&ME’s culture of collaboration and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of growing revenue in ETD or similar markets.
• Strong Power & Utilities client network and relationships.
• 10+ years in project/program or market leadership roles.
• History of winning and delivering opportunities for multiple clients in ETD.
• PE license is a plus.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for Electrical Transmission & Distribution.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to exceed revenue targets across our core services.
• Establish and grow key client relationships at local and national levels.
• Collaborate with local operations to expand existing client relationships.
• Leverage your network to position S&ME as a trusted partner.
• Deliver exceptional client experiences that lead to repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Partner with internal leaders to build the team, capabilities, and resources to scale.
• Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.
• Ensure projects are executed with quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement to keep S&ME at the forefront.
