Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on powerplant systems, engines and related components. The role requires reading blueprints and technical manuals, and may involve off-site service on detachments.

The candidate should have multiple years of experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances and certifications, including a Secret clearance. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ experience.
• Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• Ability to obtain/maintain required clearance and certifications.
• US Citizenship required for Secret clearance; must obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft main, auxiliary, secondary power systems and components.
• Troubleshoot, test and perform power plant operational checks; replace or repair worn components.
• Remove engine, inspect parts for wear, repair and reinstall engine.
• Read blueprints, directives, planning documents, test specs, and safety manuals.
• May perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
