Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant to perform organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance, inspection, testing and repair on aircraft powerplant systems. You will interpret blueprints and procedures and provide technical guidance as needed.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, at least three years in the last eight in the specific maintenance field, experience with corrosion detection and prevention, and the ability to obtain the required security

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ relevant aircraft maintenance experience in last eight years.
• Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• Must have a valid State Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain required clearances.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aircraft main, auxiliary, secondary power systems and components.
• Perform troubleshooting, testing and operational checks of power plant systems.
• Remove engine from aircraft, inspect parts and reassemble/reinstall engine.
• Read blueprints, directives and procedures; follow safety manuals.
• May perform off-site service on detachments.
