Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant to perform maintenance on powerplant systems and related aircraft components. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing and testing on various aircraft platforms, with emphasis on corrosion control and adherence to directives and safety standards.

The position requires high school diploma, 3+ years’ experience, and the ability to obtain security clearances.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum three years’ experience.
Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
Ability to obtain/maintain required clearance or certifications.
Prior Military must present DD214 with Honorable Discharge.
Must have a valid State Driver’s License.
Ability to obtain Secret US Government Clearance.
Ability to work all assigned shifts.
Recent experience with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, MH-60S.

Responsibilities

Maintains all aircraft main, auxiliary, secondary power systems and related components.
Performs troubleshooting, testing and replacement of worn components using tools and testing equipment.
Removes engine, inspects parts, and reinstalls engine in aircraft.
Reads blueprints, directives, publications and safety manuals.
