Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant to perform organizational and depot level maintenance on aircraft and components. The role requires troubleshooting, disassembly/reassembly of engines, and compliance with manuals and safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining power systems, reading blueprints, and performing off-site service when needed. Must meet clearance, license, and experience requirements; capable of lifting up to 70 pounds and working varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ experience in the aircraft maintenance field within the last eight years.
• Experience with corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• Must obtain/maintain required clearances and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain main, auxiliary, secondary power systems and related components.
• Perform troubleshooting, testing and replacement of worn parts.
• Read blueprints, publications and safety manuals; perform off-site service if required.
