The Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant at Amentum in Fallon, NV performs organizational, intermediate and limited depot maintenance on aircraft powerplant systems, inspecting, testing and repairing components as needed. Responsibilities include removal and installation of engines, interpreting blueprints and directives, and applying safety standards.

You’ll work with F-18A-F/E-2C family aircraft and support on-site deployments as required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum three years’ aircraft maintenance experience
• Experience with corrosion detection and prevention
• Ability to obtain/maintain security clearances
• Familiar with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, MH-60S aircraft

Aufgaben

• Maintains main, auxiliary, and power systems of aircraft.
• Performs troubleshooting and operational checks on powerplant systems.
• Removes engine, inspects parts, and installs engine.
• Reads blueprints, directives, and safety manuals.
• May perform off-site service on detachments.
