Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Avionics to perform organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance on aircraft and components. This role requires corrosion expertise and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

The candidate must have 3+ years in aircraft maintenance within the last eight years, including two years in the military or government contractor settings, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience in their specific aircraft maintenance field within the last eight years.
• Last two years must have been in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor.
• Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain required company/government qualifications, certifications, licensing, or clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US citizenship required).
• Prior military personnel must present a DD214 with an Honorable discharge.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work all assigned shifts & schedules.
• Must have a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance on all assigned aircraft, components and equipment.
• Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance, guidance and instruction to other employees.
