Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant in Fallon, NV to perform organizational and depot-level maintenance on powerplant systems and related components. You will troubleshoot, inspect, repair and replace parts, read blueprints, and support off-site detachments as needed.

A strong background with aircraft power systems and corrosion control is required. The role requires security clearance eligibility, US citizenship, a high school diploma, and the ability to work various shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years' maintenance experience.
• Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention.
• Must obtain/maintain required company-government clearances.
• Former military with DD214 preferred.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Ability to work all shifts and schedules.
• Recent experience with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, MH-60S aircraft is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on main and powerplant systems including testing and troubleshooting.
• Repair or replace worn components such as fuel controls, pumps and gearboxes.
• Remove and reinstall engines; disassemble/inspect parts for wear or defects.
• Interpret blueprints, directives, and safety manuals.
• May perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
