Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on powerplant systems and aircraft components at Fallon Station. The role includes engine removal, disassembly, inspection, and reassembly, with interpretation of blueprints and technical publications.

Involves potential off-site service on detachments. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and 3 years of recent aircraft maintenance experience (military or government contractor), corrosion

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance in last 8 years (military or gov contractor in last 2 years).
• Must have corrosion detection, treatment and prevention knowledge.
• Must hold a valid State Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain required clearances (Secret US Government Clearance).
• US Citizenship required for Secret Clearance.
• Recent experience with F-18A-F, EA-18G, E-2C, MH-60S.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aircraft main, auxiliary, secondary power systems, fuel systems, engine level and bleed air components.
• Performs troubleshooting, testing, and operational checks of power plant systems; replaces or repairs components.
• Removes engine from aircraft, disassembles and inspects parts, and reinstalls engine.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, directives, and safety manuals.
