Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Tendering System Application Engineer to serve as the technical architect for complex power systems and advanced energy infrastructure. You will lead architectural validation, solution design, and cost estimation across DCS/SCADA, automation, protection, and cybersecurity to accelerate the sales process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of experience in design and architecture of protection & control, SCADA, and substation automation.
• Fluency with substation communication protocols (DNP3/IEC61850) and IED/relay concepts.
• Proficient in producing diagrams and system layouts with Visio.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical definition of projects by specifying requirements and architecture for DCS/SCADA and automation schemes.
• Serve as technical lead through the tender lifecycle, defining precise technical scopes and performing performance/cost estimations.
• Define requirements for substation communication protocols (DNP3/IEC61850) and validate system architectures for cybersecurity.
• Manage the technical Risk & Opportunity register to protect project integrity and commercial bottom line.
• Provide internal advocacy for system design and guide cross-functional teams.
