Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Sr Systems Architect in the United States to lead the integration of complex power-generation architectures, guiding requirements, tests, and validation across multiple engineering disciplines.

You will coordinate with Systems Engineering teams and GE units to define solution validation strategies, interface controls, and performance criteria for utility-scale projects and industrial electrification initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in power generation, utility systems or EPC projects.
• 3+ years in leadership overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
• 5+ years presenting to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• 7+ years with utility-scale power generation and grid interconnection.
• Experience applying IEEE/IEC/NERC/FERC/NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and govern integrated power generation system architectures.
• Lead inside-the-fence-line asset integration including turbines, GSUs, HV/LV gear, substations and protection systems.
• Establish requirements, baselines, interfaces, and design standards.
• Define validation strategies, FAT/SAT, commissioning milestones, and performance criteria.
• Coordinate multi-discipline integration for uptime and resilience.
• Review power system studies and ensure architecture performance.
• Translate customer requirements into architecture and design requirements.
• Lead risk identification and interface management through lifecycle phases.
• Coordinate across GE Vernova units for technical alignment.
• Support business development with solution architectures and proposals.
• Develop reference architectures for data centers, microgrids, and industrial sites.
• Lead customer-facing workshops and executive reviews.
