Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking an Integrated Solutions Applications Engineer to design and derisk integration of complex power systems for data center and large hybrid applications.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, develop reference architectures, and interface with utilities and ISOs to ensure compliance and deliver world-class outcomes. The role requires a strong technical background in heavy-duty turbines, experience across gas turbines and combined-cycle plants, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or power systems engineering.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in engineering, product management or related functions.
• 3+ years of experience completing projects on-time and on-budget as either individual contributor or project manager.
• 3+ years of experience with gas turbine, combined-cycle, or turbomachinery application engineering experience, with strong understanding of equipment performance and operating capabilities.
• Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Designing and owning the integrated solutions architecture, including the development and maintenance of Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) that integrate with various GE Vernova systems.
• Evaluating and proposing design architectures on an application-specific basis, considering system performance and reliability by performing studies and simulations.
• Defining equipment LCOE and operational interfaces with the business units; translating customer reliability requirements to internal parties.
• Lead onsite generation report definition and gather information to support customer meetings and final report submittal.
• Lead business unit coordinator for ongoing customer projects and proposals.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to perform coordination studies and requirements testing for the entire power system with internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrate deep technical understanding of heavy duty or aeroderivative turbines to inform design and optimization decisions.
• Standardize solutions by developing reference architectures for repeatable applications and applying them to projects for consistency.
• Interface with utilities and ISOs to ensure compliance with industry standards and grid interconnection requirements.
