Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years designing protection & control, SCADA, and substation automation.
• Understanding of substation comms protocols (DNP3/IEC61850) and IED/relay principles.
• Proficiency with Visio for engineering drawings and diagrams.
• Analytical rigor translating specs into actionable project execution strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical definition of projects by specifying requirements and architecture for DCS/SCADA and automation schemes.
• Translate client requirements into detailed technical specifications, including protection diagrams and network architecture.
• Define technical requirements for substation communication protocols and validate system interoperability.
• Manage technical risk and contingency planning in the pre-bid phase.
• Act as internal authority on system design and justify engineering choices to stakeholders.
