Job summary
Amazon.com LLC is seeking an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to serve as a technical authority for power systems within its global fulfillment center network. You will drive standardization and innovation of power distribution and hardware for material handling, focusing on safety, scalability, and operational excellence.
The role requires deep expertise in power system design, arc flash calculations, and hardware development for complex systems, with collaboration across WWDE,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years in power systems design and hardware development for large-scale material handling.
- Experience solving problems with large scale mechanical and power systems.
- Proficiency in arc flash calculations and NEC/NFPA compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems and distribution for material handling.
- Develop MDBs, PDPs, switchgear, and substations with proper sizing and protection.
- Perform load calculations, arc flash studies, and labeling programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize specifications and drive program execution.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer.
