Job summary

Amazon seeks an experienced Power, Standards, and Hardware Development Manager to serve as a technical authority for power systems, standards, and hardware engineering across its global fulfillment center network. You will lead standardization and innovation of power distribution and hardware solutions, focusing on safety, scalability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Power Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in power systems design, electrical engineering, and/or hardware development, preferably in design, specification, and execution of large-scale complex material handling systems.
• 5+ years in a management or leadership role, including people leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in the design and specification of MDBs, PDPs, and electrical substations.
• Strong proficiency in electrical load calculations and preparation of A/E drawing sets using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems and distribution for material handling.
• Specify MDBs, PDPs, and electrical substations with proper sizing and coordination.
• Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, and panel schedules.
• Perform load calculations and arc flash studies per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.
• Oversee transformers, switchgear, and other distribution equipment.
• Lead hardware development including VFDs, sensors, and predictive maintenance systems.
• Prepare electrical specifications and A/E drawing sets for programs.
