Job summary

RESA Power is hiring a Service Field Tech to perform testing and service on power transmission and distribution equipment in Wixom, MI. The role covers HV to 500 kV equipment, startup, troubleshooting and data collection, with on-call rotations and strict safety compliance.

The Sr./II/III/IV levels span a range of experience, from entry-level to senior, with responsibilities across testing, maintenance and repair of transformers and switchgear.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with related field experience.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to electrical procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and troubleshoot HV equipment up to 500kV.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and data collection for low/medium/high voltage systems.
• Test switchgear and breakers; inspect transformers and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance, testing and repair on circuit breakers and switchgear.
• Operate high voltage test equipment and participate in on-site troubleshooting.
• Rotate emergency on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory safety standards.
