Job summary

RESA Power is seeking Field Tech/Power Systems Technicians to service and maintain various power transmission and distribution equipment. You will inspect, test and troubleshoot high voltage systems up to 500 kV, perform switchgear tests, and handle data collection and start-up procedures.

Roles require knowledge of NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA standards, strong problem-solving abilities, and solid communication with customers. Travel up to 70% is possible, and a valid driver's license is often required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and minimum 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of various industry standards such as: NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA.
• Prefer experience with MCC’s, Breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, start-up on switchgear up to 500kV, etc.; military training accepted.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and data collection of low, medium and high voltage systems up to 500kV.
• Test and inspect low and medium voltage cable installations.
• Perform start-up, troubleshooting and repair on controls and transfer schemes.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with regulatory electrical safety requirements.
