Job summary

RESA Power in San Jose, CA is seeking Field Tech/Power Systems Technicians at multiple levels to perform testing, start-up, maintenance and repair of high voltage equipment up to 500 kV. You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Roles vary I–IV with increasing responsibility; Tech IV mentors others and oversees large projects. Travel up to 25%, per diem meals, and overtime eligibility are part of the compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 1+ year related field experience.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA, NFPA standards.
• Experience with switchgear and high voltage testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on HV systems up to 500 kV.
• Test switchgear and circuit breakers; inspect transformers and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance, testing and repair on breakers, transformers and controls.
• Operate high voltage test equipment and assist with start-up on complex gear.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
