Job summary

RESA Power, LLC is seeking Sr. Field Tech/Power Systems Techs to perform service, test, and maintain power transmission and distribution equipment across high-voltage systems.

Positions require inspection, testing, and data collection for equipment up to 765kV, including switchgear, breakers, transformers, and related control systems. Candidate must have strong safety practices, problem-solving skills, and effective communication with customers and peers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA.
• Experience with MCCs, breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, start-up on switchgear up to 765kV or equivalent military training.
• Hands-on testing and maintenance of high-voltage equipment (69kV–345kV).
• Must adhere to electrical safety procedures.
• Strong problem solving and written/verbal communication with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and data-collect on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems (up to 765kV).
• Perform switchgear and circuit breaker testing; maintenance and repair.
• Inspect transformers and related equipment (45 KVA to 1,120 MVA).
• Work with SF6 filled GCBs and gas insulated switchgear; cable testing.
• Operate high voltage test equipment (Doble M4000).
• Commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of controls and transfer schemes.
• Ensure all work complies with regulatory laws.
