Job summary

RESA Power is seeking Field Techs to perform testing, maintenance and startup for power transmission equipment across high- and medium-voltage systems. The role emphasizes relay testing, fault analysis and hands-on field service on site.

You will inspect equipment, document procedures, and support safe operation while communicating with customers and teams. Travel and on‑site leadership may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year related experience.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards.
• Experience with MCCs, breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, and switchgear up to 500kV is preferred.
• Must work safely and follow electrical safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start‑up and data collection for LV, MV, and HV systems up to 500kV.
• Install, commission, test and maintain protective relaying equipment and switchgear.
• Develop and document commissioning, testing, and maintenance procedures for relay systems.
