Job summary

Amphenol Corporation is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to bridge customer power architecture and interconnect engineering. You will collect requirements, translate them into connector/cable specs, and present solutions to customer teams.

You will collaborate with product engineering and manufacturing, develop technical documents, and support design-in activities at customer sites while tracking industry standards and delivering customer insights into the roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in power connector or systems engineering; master's 1+ year preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret system-level requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customer engineering teams to capture requirements for power interconnects.
• Translate system-level power architecture into connector/cable requirements.
• Present options, trade-offs, and roadmaps to customer engineering teams.
• Partner with product engineering and manufacturing to deliver solutions.
• Develop technical requirement documents and specification inputs.
• Support qualification, validation, and design-in activities at customer sites.
• Track relevant industry standards (e.g., OCP) shaping roadmaps.
• Deliver voice of customer insights into internal roadmap.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
• Build knowledge of Amphenol's connector and cable portfolio for power delivery.
