Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Power Systems Engineer to bridge system-level power architecture and connector/cable interconnect engineering, engaging with hyperscalers and OEM partners to translate requirements into power solutions.

You will act as the primary technical liaison between customer engineering teams and internal product development, supporting qualification, design-in activities, and alignment with industry standards such as OCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• BS with 3+ years in power connector, systems engineering, or related discipline.
• MS with 1+ years in power connector, systems engineering, or related discipline.
• Foundational understanding of connector development and power architecture concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret system-level requirements and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable in customer meetings.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customer engineering teams to capture requirements for power interconnect solutions.
• Translate system-level power architecture into connector/cable technology requirements.
• Serve as the front-facing technical point of contact for power discussions with customers.
• Partner with product engineering and manufacturing to deliver interconnect solutions.
• Develop technical requirement documents and specification inputs for new products.
• Support qualification, validation, and design-in activities at customer sites.
• Track industry standards and consortia that shape power delivery roadmaps.
• Deliver customer and market insight back into internal roadmap and development.
• Assist senior team members in customer engagements and portfolio familiarization.
