Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to bridge system-level power architecture and connector/cable interconnect engineering for hyperscale customers. You will translate customer requirements into robust interconnect solutions and coordinate with product, R&D and manufacturing teams.

The role is customer-facing, requires strong communication skills, and travel to customer sites as needed to support design-in activities and roadmap alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor; 3+ years in power connector, systems engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree with 1+ year in power connector or systems engineering.
• Able to read/interpret system-level requirements and specs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable in customer meetings.
• Willing to travel to customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Capture customer requirements to develop power interconnect solutions.
• Translate system power architecture into connector/cable requirements.
• Present options, trade-offs, and roadmap alignment to customer teams.
• Partner with product engineering and manufacturing to deliver solutions.
• Develop technical requirement documents for new products.
• Support qualification, validation, and design-in activities at customer sites.
• Track industry standards (e.g., OCP) shaping power delivery roadmaps.
• Provide voice of customer to influence internal roadmaps.
• Assist senior team members in customer engagements.
