Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in North America. This technical role focuses on coordinating and delivering complex power system studies, planning, and feasibility analyses for utility, developer, and industrial clients.

You will collaborate with Substation, Transmission, and Renewables groups, perform load-flow and transient analyses, and help prepare reports and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years direct experience within power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficiency with PSS®E and other planning tools (TARA, PSLF, DigSILENT, DSA Tools).
• Familiar with North American Market Operators (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, CAISO, ERCOT, SSP, AESO, IESO) policies.

Responsibilities

• Support, develop, and deliver complex power system study & planning projects for various clients.
• Perform and review power systems analysis: load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient, small-signal stability.
• Conduct planning/system performance studies to comply with standards and good engineering practice.
• Deliver accurate planning, studies, system design, and client reports meeting industry standards.
• QA on client reports and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Arcadis units for cross-selling and staffing; develop scopes/budgets/proposals.
