Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Sr. Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in USA. The role focuses on coordinating and developing power system planning studies, performing HVDC planning/feasibility, interconnection and transient studies for North America and globally.

Collaboration across substation, transmission, protection & control, and renewables teams is expected. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred), 8+ years in power

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years direct experience in power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficiency with PSS/E and PSCAD; familiarity with PSLF, DigSILENT, DSA Tools.
• Knowledge of NA Market Operators policies and grid interconnection criteria.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop power system planning studies and feasibility analyses.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and related studies.
• Deliver study reports with clear QA on client deliverables.
• Collaborate with Substation, Transmission, Protection & Control, and Renewables teams.
• Support cross-unit and cross-staffing opportunities and develop project scopes.
