Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in North America. You will coordinate the planning and study activities, performing HVAC/HVDC planning, interconnection, and transient studies for clients globally, while collaborating with Substation, Transmission, and Renewables groups.

Ideal candidates have a BA in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with PSS/E and relevant planning tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience in power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficiency with PSS/E including load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability.
• Familiar with NA market operators and interconnection/ planning criteria.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver complex power system study and planning projects for diverse clients.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and other analyses.
• Conduct planning and transient studies to meet standards and good engineering practice.
• Ensure QA on client reports and deliverables.
• Coordinate with Arcadis units for cross-selling and staffing opportunities.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
