Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join the Power Delivery team. You will coordinate and develop study projects, performing load-flow, short-circuit and transient analyses for North American clients and globally.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred), 5+ years of related experience, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 25% may be required; PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience within power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficient with PSS®E software (load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability) and familiar with other planning tools.
• Familiar with North American Market Operators (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, CAISO, ERCOT, SSP, AESO, IESO).

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver complex power system study and planning projects.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient analyses.
• Conduct planning studies and transient studies for compliance with standards and good engineering practice.
• Produce QA on client reports and deliverables; coordinate with Arcadis teams and clients.
