Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in North America. The role focuses on coordinating and developing power system studies, including interconnection studies, transient analyses, and system optimization for clients across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience within power system study analysis and planning.
• Proficient with PSS®E; experience with PSLF, DigSILENT, TARA, or DSA Tools highly desirable.
• Familiar with North American Market Operators (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, CAISO, ERCOT, SSP, AESO, IESO) policies and grid interconnection criteria.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver complex power system study and planning projects for diverse clients.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient, small-signal stability, and reliability analyses.
• Conduct planning and transient studies for compliance with standards and best practices.
• Deliver high-quality reports and client deliverables with thorough QA.
• Coordinate with Arcadis Business Units for cross-staffing and cross-selling opportunities.
• Lead project scopes, budgets, and proposals while collaborating with teams.
