Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. This technical role coordinates the Power System Planning & Study group and performs feasibility and interconnection studies for North America clients and beyond.

You will collaborate with Substation, Transmission, Protection & Control, and Renewables teams, ensuring QA on deliverables and contributing to master plans. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct experience within power system study analysis and planning.
• Must be proficient with the PSS®E software package, including load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability analysis.
• Must be familiar with North American Market Operators policies, guidelines, regulations and criteria for grid interconnection, performance and planning.

Responsibilities

• Support, develop, and deliver various complex power system study & planning projects for clients.
• Perform and review power systems analysis activities including load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and other analyses.
• Deliver planning and system performance studies and reports meeting industry standards.
• QA on client reports and deliverables.
• Coordinate with other Arcadis units and develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
