Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in North America. You will coordinate the planning and studies, performing load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and related analyses for diverse client projects.

The role requires strong teamwork and communication, travel up to 25%, and collaboration with Substation, Transmission, and Renewables groups to deliver comprehensive system studies and master plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct power system study analysis and planning experience.
  • Proficient with PSS/E and related planning tools; knowledge of NA market operators.

Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver complex power system studies for various clients.
  • Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and other analyses.
  • Plan/system performance studies and transient studies per standards.
  • Deliver reports meeting industry standards with good engineering practice.
  • Coordinate with Arcadis units and manage project scopes/budgets.
