Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the safe, compliant operation of a heavy industrial power-generation facility in Preston, CT. You will supervise plant personnel and oversee boilers, turbines, and instrumentation, driving reliability and environmental compliance.

The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires hands-on leadership, a passion for safety, and the ability to mentor a cross-trained team across day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric-generating equipment.
• Detailed knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Power-generation or resource-recovery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and safety protocols.
• Supervise operation of high-pressure boilers, turbines, steam-generation systems, and related equipment.
• Conduct plant rounds, monitor conditions, and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Respond to injuries, accidents, or emergencies and take corrective actions.
• Direct personnel and execute lockout/tagout procedures and safety permits.
• Lead projects and train shift personnel to develop a cross-trained team.
