Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC in West Babylon, NY, is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead power-generation, boiler, steam-system, and turbine operations. You will build a safety-first, cross-trained team and oversee the assigned shift to run the plant safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will monitor equipment, coordinate maintenance, and supervise staff on a rotating 12-hour schedule. A high school diploma or GED and three+ years of supervisory experience are required; a sign-on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three+ years of supervisory experience in power generation or resource recovery.
• Hands-on supervisory experience with boilers, turbines, steam systems, and plant operations.
• Ability to read, write reports, and communicate in English.
• Strong math skills and the ability to take safe action in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure policies are followed.
• Approve equipment removal for maintenance; clear/tag equipment; issue safety permits.
• Maintain plant within environmental limits and permits.
• Provide emergency responses to injuries or accidents.
• Direct shift, daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and troubleshoot plant issues.
• Train and supervise a cross-trained, capable workforce.
• Lead technical training for shift personnel.
• Complete projects assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts with overtime as needed.
