Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead safe and efficient plant operations on a rotating 12‑hour shift, monitoring boilers, turbines, and steam systems while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental permits.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will drive troubleshooting, training, and performance improvements, with growth opportunities in a values‑driven, benefits‑rich workplace.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in power or resource recovery plant operations.
• Engineering degree desirable; hands-on boiler experience required.
• Must obtain & maintain ASME QRO Provisional & Site-Specific Operators license.
• Detailed knowledge of steam power stations and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment for all facility personnel.
• Ensure all personnel follow policies and work safely.
• Keep plant within environmental limits and permits.
• Emergency response to injuries or accidents.
• Direct completion of shift, daily, weekly and monthly checks.
• Approve removal of equipment from service and issue safety permits.
• Troubleshoot plant operations and coordinate maintenance.
• Train and manage a motivated, cross-trained team.
