Job summary

Reworld seeks a Shift Supervisor to oversee the safe, compliant operation of a heavy industrial power-generation and resource-recovery facility during a shift. You will supervise plant personnel and manage boilers, turbines, steam-generation, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will perform plant rounds, coordinate operations and maintenance, ensure safety and environmental permit compliance, and lead a cross-trained workforce to

Qualifications

• Three or more years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure boilers and electric-generating equipment.
• Detailed knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Power-generation or resource-recovery experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor of Science degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and safety protocols.
• Supervise high-pressure boilers, turbines, steam-generation and generating equipment, instrumentation, and controls.
• Conduct plant rounds, monitor conditions, and coordinate operations and maintenance staff.
• Respond to injuries, accidents, emergencies, and abnormal plant conditions.
• Direct actions to restore safe operation and supervise safety permits and lockout/tagout processes.
• Lead shift inspections, housekeeping, and project work assigned by the Operations Manager.
• Train and develop shift personnel into a cross-trained, technically capable team.
