Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the electric utility market, coordinating BD activities, client relationship management, and strategic marketing programs. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop opportunities, craft value propositions, and support RFP processes across multiple offices.

The role emphasizes leadership in market strategy, attendance at trade shows, and collaboration with Engineering and other Global Practices to expand

Qualifications

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
Ability to clearly present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
Experience with proposal communications, proposals strategies, or pursuit strategies is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform and coordinate all business development activities in assigned territory.
Increase customer awareness and maintain client relations.
Manage client-focused strategies and action plans to win work.
Develop value propositions and pre-RFP collateral with teams.
Identify opportunities by researching industry trends and events.
Develop negotiating strategies aligned with company objectives.
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements and contracts.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Participate in professional organizations and industry events.
