Job summary
Amazon is seeking an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer in Georgia to lead power systems, standards, and hardware engineering within the OneMHS program. You will drive standardization of power distribution for material handling, focusing on safety, reliability, and scalable designs.
You will design MDBs/PDPs, perform load and arc flash analyses, and collaborate with WWDE, Operations Engineering, strategic suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust hardware solutions across
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 4+ years in power systems design and hardware development.
- Experience with large-scale material handling systems.
- Proven arc flash calculations per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize 3‑phase power systems and distribution.
- Develop MDBs, PDPs, and electrical substations with proper sizing and protection.
- Create single-line diagrams and panel schedules for facilities.
- Perform load calculations, arc flash studies, and labeling programs.
- Lead hardware development, prototyping, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with Operations, WWDE, and vendors to standardize specs.
